Tank contents and cleaning access
Oil storage, water systems and chemical vessels need different methods. We consider the previous contents, current residue, tank materials, openings and internal fittings before choosing how the deposits can be removed.
Where possible, cleaning is carried out from outside the vessel. If entry is necessary, it requires the appropriate confined-space assessment, controls, competence and emergency arrangements. Hazardous connected equipment also needs suitable isolation before cleaning begins.
Cleaning and specialist checks
Bulk recovery, surface cleaning, fuel treatment and water-system disinfection are separate activities. A job may involve more than one, but the result of one does not establish the result of another.
Cleaning can expose corrosion, damaged coatings or other visible defects, but it is not a structural inspection or a guarantee of fuel or water quality.
