Health and Safety
Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy Given that we are able to offer a wide range of services, it is not surprising that experience is essential. With a combined 30 years of experience you can be sure that any work is only undertaken once method statements, risk assessments, tool box talks and training is in place. Safety always remains the highest priority in any operation and it is understandable therefore that in tank cleaning and interceptor emptying, where entry into confined spaces is in the majority of cases a necessary part of the operation, all employees are confined space trained, are trained in the use of compressed air supplied and SCBA breathing apparatus including rescue scenarios and first aid. We see the establishment and enforcement of appropriate measures and procedures to promote control and monitor Health and Safety as a vital mutual objective for all levels of employee in running this business as an efficient and successful operation. To this end the company will:
Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions and take account of relevant statutory requirements. Ensure that all necessary precautions are observed in respect of the safe use, handling, storage and transport of materials and substances. Provide such information, training and instruction to enable work to be performed safely and efficiently. Make available all necessary safety devices and protective equipment and supervise and train in their use. Provide adequate facilities for the welfare of employees. Safeguard the health and safety of visitors and of any members of the general public who could be affected by our activities. Care for the environment is core to the company’s corporate business strategy and success. Waste Reduction Services Ltd. will actively seek to minimise its impact on the environment by recognising its responsibilities through a positive policy of safety at the work place, control of pollution and care for the surrounding environment. Review and update the policy as and when necessary particularly in respect of major changes within the company and/or changes in legislation and involve and consult with employees or their representatives wherever possible.
